Iron Air Battery is the future technology. Gain Green Energy From Natural Rust Process as a Source.
The power in an iron-air battery comes from the interaction of iron with oxygen. The steel oxidizes nearly exactly as it would during its corrosion phase within that procedure. Iron-air batteries are relevant in this context. Because both ferrous and sodium - the building blocks of alkali solutions - are highly abundant, they have a high potential for growth. Simultaneously, the ferrous electrodes are extremely durable, capable of withstanding over 10,000 full cycles. [1]

While renewable energy sources like solar and wind have now become cheaper than fossil fuels, developing long-term energy storage is key to overcome their intermittency. Lithium-ion batteries are the state-of-the-art battery technology but they can only cost-effectively provide energy for about 6 hours. [2]
QuantumScape Corp, a battery start-up backed by Volkswagen AG is working on a technology called “Iron-Air Battery”. This technology could make car batteries cheaper, more reliable and suitable for quicker recharge. Shareholders of California-based QuantumScape Corp have approved a multibillion-dollar pay package for Chief Executive Officer Jagdeep Singh, for achieving some performance milestones. [3]
